Assembly & Set Up for OSHA Fall Protection Non-Penetrating Guardrail

To meet OSHA regulations the Rhino Guardrail System must be able to withstand 200 lbs. of force applied at any point horizontally or vertically along the railing. The picture below illustrates the minimum setup required to meet OSHA regulations 1910.23 and 1926.500-03 for fall protection.

(Be sure to consult manufacturer’s complete instruction manual before installing this system.)

1. A Rhino Guardrail System is defined as (1) Rail, (1) Base and (2) pins.
2. You can utilize as many (B) Danger Side rail systems hooked together as you need. These sections are available in standard sizes of 5', 7'6", and 10' lengths.
3. At each end of the (B) Danger Side railing run, install a 5' Outrigger system 90º away from danger side to properly support the end Danger Side railing.
4. No matter how many systems you order, you will always need to order (1) extra base to complete the system. (The only exception is if you are forming an enclosed square or rectangle in which case the extra base is not required.)
5. Install Quick Pins to secure system components. Install a wood 2 x 4 toeboard if there is danger to personnel below due to falling materials.
